On behalf of the Australian College of Midwives, I enthusiastically invite you come to Hobart for our 18th Biennial National Conference, 'Life, Art and Science in Midwifery'.
We hope the conference will provide all delegates with a valuable opportunity to learn about innovations in midwifery care, discuss professional issues and enhance their knowledge on contemporary issues related to midwifery practice.
The Conference Organising Committee are working hard to reach the right balance between education, policy, practice and research as well as celebrating all that we do and are through our creative arts stream. We hope to offer you rich entertainment, professional exhibitors and trade displays and an environment for you to network with like-minded colleagues. The conference has been designed to facilitate the interchange of ideas between keynote speakers, delegates, sponsors and exhibitors alike.
There is also an exciting social program planned so please come along and knit, sing dance and absorb all that midwifery has to offer.

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the 18th Biennial Conference of the Australian College of Midwives.
'Life, Art and Science in Midwifery' will be held in beautiful Hobart, 30 September - 3 October 2013. The Conference will explore the very nature of midwifery; its significance in the lives of women and their families, the science that underpins practice as well as the art and beauty that weaves its way through all that midwives do.
The National Conference Planning Committee is developing an exciting program that will dare delegates to think, explore and respond to the challenges ahead.
It has been some years since the Conference has been held in Tasmania so we are thrilled that delegates will experience all that Tassie has to offer including our famous hospitality.
