Program becomes accredited by Forum for International Trade Training

British Columbia?s Sprott-Shaw Community College recently announced one of their programs has added some credentials.
Sprott-Shaw?s International Business Management (IBM) program has been accredited by Forum for International Trade Training (FITT).
?We are very pleased to extend this opportunity to Sprott-Shaw Degree College and [its] students,? said Caroline Tompkins, President of FITT.
This means Sprott-Shaw?s graduates can now transfer their credits to FITT and will have advanced standing towards the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP).
A CITP is a designation given to a qualified international trade practitioner. It is a credential that is recognized by employers, colleagues, and clients. To gain this designation, a student needs to:
- Complete the educational requirement by achieving the FITT diploma
- Complete or prove a minimum of one year, full-time, international trade work experience
- Agree to the Standards of Ethical Conduct
- Pay the annual dues and maintain the membership in good standing
- Engage in ongoing professional development
Sprott Shaw?s International Trade and Business Management program trains students in importing and exporting all kinds of goods. They prepare and process import/export documents and other forms for clients, according to customs regulations, laws and procedures.
