LOS ANGELES, June 8 ? The first trailer for Robert Zemeckis's Flight starring Denzel Washington (Safe House, Unstoppable) hit the web June 7, showing the Oscar winner in a life-and-death scenario, 35,000 feet in the air.
The trailer includes scenes of the dramatic landing of a plane taking a nosedive. After the pilot, played by Washington, wakes in a hospital, a series of scenes unfold with the media hounding him first as a hero and then at a trial.
This action drama follows the pilot from the miraculous crash landing to facing celebrity as a hero. But things turn upside down, and an investigation provides revelations and raises questions about what really happened.?
The cast costars Don Cheadle (Iron Man), who plays the pilot's attorney, John Goodman (The Artist) and Oscar winner Melissa Leo (The Fighter).
Director Robert Zemeckis (A Christmas Carol, The Polar Express) departs from motion-capture filmmaking to return to the action-suspense genre, a decade after his film Cast Away with Tom Hanks.
Flight opens November 2 in North America and the Netherlands, following in the UK, Sweden and more European markets in early 2013. ? AFP-Relaxnews
